What we do
Economic Development
We believe in the economic empowerment of women as a catalyst for change. ALDF supports rural women and women entrepreneurs by providing training, mentoring, access to funding and market opportunities
​Health and Sexual and Reproductive Rights (SDSR )
ALDF defends the SDSR through advocacy, education, training, dialogue and expanding access to essential services. We are working to eliminate negative practices and give women the means to make informed choices about their bodies
Human rights and civic space
We defend the rights of marginalized groups, defend freedom of expression and support human rights defenders.

GESI (gender equality and social inclusion
gender mainstreaming: integration of gender considerations into all policies, programs and projects. - Empowerment: allow women and girls to participate fully in economic, social and political life. - Intersectionality: Recognizing that gender covers other identities (eg, race, social class, disability) and fight against multiple forms of discrimination. - Social protection: Provide social security nets (eg monetary transfers, health insurance) to vulnerable groups. - Representation : Ensure that women and marginalized groups have a voice in decision-making at all levels.
